Man Lays In The Snow Paralyzed For Over 20 Hours, And His Loyal Dog Refuses To Leave His Side

Just about an hour-and-a-half before midnight on New Year’s Eve, a Michigan man identified only as Bob was at home watching TV and waiting for the countdown to 2017 to begin. He hopped outside to grab a log for the fireplace during a commercial break, but slipped on his way back inside—and broke his neck. Unable to move in the cold snow and with his nearest neighbor a quarter-mile away, he thought he was a goner.

Then, a miracle happened. His 5-year-old Golden Retriever, Kelsey, hearing his pleas for help, rushed to his aid. What followed was an act of friendship and bravery so intense, it’s almost hard to believe.

When a Michigan man named Bob slipped in the snow and broke his neck outside his home on New Year’s Eve, he thought all hope was lost. His nearest neighbor was about a quarter of a mile away, and he couldn’t move. Fortunately, his dog Kelsey heard his cries for help. She immediately rushed to his side and began barking.

For 20 hours, at the temperature dipped to 24 degrees, Kelsey stayed with Bob, barking, howling, and keeping him warm.

Then, a miracle happened…

Talk about man’s best friend, right? Twenty hours is a long time to be stuck in the cold and the snow, even when you can move. Hopefully, Kelsey is getting lots of toys and bones for her good work.
