The Offspring Of A Pomeranian And A Giant Mastiff Looks Appropriately Ridiculous

It’s not uncommon for dogs to mate with different breeds; in fact, it can lead to some interesting (and highly desired) mixes, like the Labradoodle—the cross between a Labrador retriever and a poodle.

Yet some types of pairings seem unlikely—but not impossible—as you can see with this huge Mastiff named Coco and her tiny Pomchi (Pomeranian-Chihuahua) companion, Bailey. When you meet their puppy, you’ll be shocked!

Malachi Ferdinand of England has two dogs who couldn’t be any more different. Coco is a mild-mannered female French-English Mastiff, while Bailey is a troublemaking Chihuahu-Pomeranian. Yet four years ago, something completely unexpected happened with both of them.

Coco suddenly gave birth to a puppy! Although Malachi didn’t know Coco was ever pregnant—she showed no signs whatsoever—it was clear that Bailey was the father. Unsurprisingly, their son looked just about as unconventional as one would expect from such a strange mix.

Malachi’s family named the puppy Nemo, since he was the sole son of the pair, just like the young clown fish from the famous Pixar film.

Nemo was deemed perfectly healthy and normal after a visit with the vet. He has his dad’s “yappy bark,” but he gets most of his looks from his mom.

People can’t get enough of this puppy. He’s become an internet sensation!

Malachi says that this unusual family turns a lot of heads when they go out in public, which is no surprise. As odd-looking as they may be, they’re also incredibly cute!

At four years old, Nemo is now twice as large as Bailey. (Coco has also been spayed to prevent this kind of surprise from happening again.) Despite their odd looks, they sure are one happy family!
