Planning For A Surprise
Terry always wanted to give someone a present that had a hidden special meaning, so when he fell in love with Anna, he knew she'd be the one given the great surprise. In the first year they dated, they discovered new places to travel and became assured they were a perfect match. As their first anniversary approached in 2016, Terry went to work on his gift.
Working The Secret
Terry was familiar with woodwork and jewelry making, and he used Huon Pine wood, which is native to his home of Tasmania, Australia. He made a round shape with the wood before decorating the front with a beautiful spiral shell that he had on hand. On the surface, it was a beautiful necklace. Hidden inside was a special surprise for Anna.
Outside Dangers
The anniversary necklace meant a great deal to Anna, and she wore it everywhere she went, even if she wasn't going anywhere at all. Terry was thrilled, of course, but he needed Anna to look inside the necklace — he didn't want to tell her that, though. The secret compartment was part of the fun.

Time passed, and Terry grew worried. These two were so adventurous that almost no terrain was too rough for them — beaches, forests, waterfalls, and even mountainsides were all places the necklace could have been lost. In fact, the two engaged in a ton of daring activities, all with the necklace around Anna's neck.
