A Marine Was Raking Leaves When He Found A Baby Bunny. What Happened Next Is So Heartwarming!

The United States Marines are some of the toughest men and women on Earth. They are, in a lot of ways, the embodiment of what it means to be heroes. When you hear of marines conducting a daring rescue, saving a fluffy animal might not be the first thing that comes to mind.

But that’s about to change.

When  was stationed , he made a devastating discovery. But it’s what Josh did next that proves he is a true hero.

While stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, Marine Joshua Bisnar tragically found a dead rabbit when he was raking leaves on the base. Shortly after, he spotted four baby bunnies who were in serious need of rescue.

Acting quickly, he made a makeshift nest for them and began to research how to care for the little guys.

He started by bottle feeding the helpless bunnies. It wasn’t long before he became a great surrogate parent.

Josh even gave them each names: Steven (pictured below), Raymond, Vaughn, and James.

He was able to raise them back to health over the next few months.

When his bunnies got too big and started jumping out of their box, Josh had to give them to a wildlife rescue organization. Though he misses his tiny rabbit friends, they’re finally where they belong. They certainly wouldn’t have gotten this far if he didn’t step in and help!
