McDonald's Trip Takes A Turn As Man's Usual Order Sends Him Straight To The Hospital

One Friday evening, Trevor Walker and his wife needed a quick dinner for their three kids. They figured a trip to McDonald's would do it, so they stopped for a meal. But by the time they got home, Trevor began to feel odd. And minutes after that, he found himself battling for his life.

Life gets hectic

Like any parent, Trevor knew the difficulties of time management when it came to children. He had three kids of his own, and carving out time to make a home-cooked meal wasn't always possible.

Busy running errands

And on a Friday night in August, Trevor, his wife Rachelle, and their three children finished up errands in their hometown of Riverton, Utah. The couple was too tired to cook dinner at home, but they opted for a choice they knew their kids enjoyed.

Rare trip to McDonald's

After spotting the golden arches of McDonald's, the Walkers knew a quick and affordable meal awaited them inside. They didn't eat fast food often because, well, it simply wasn't healthy. After a long day, though, they decided to treat themselves.

Something felt wrong

Happy Meals were ordered for the children as well as a couple of chicken sandwiches for Trevor and Rachelle. Then, after the Walkers had grabbed all that and two Diet Cokes, they made the journey back home. As the family traveled, however, Trevor sipped his drink. And within minutes, something felt wrong.
